So now that I’m starting to get my bearings, I feel like I can really dive into the point of this blog: Helping writers to write! And so I’d like to introduce a weekly series of writing prompts. Struggling with writer’s block or a lack of confidence in your writing? Sometimes, all it takes is a simple prompt to get inspiration rolling.
Read the following prompts, and then try your best to follow the direction(s). You don’t have to turn the prompt into a story. If you really want to, that’s just fine. No pressure! Just write.

If you’re looking for even MORE prompts, you can also swing by my Image Prompt and Character Prompt Pinterest boards for additional inspiration. Better yet, why not follow me on Pinterest? I have a slew of boards dedicated to collecting all the insightful tips you need to get your writing projects done.
In any case, I’m really excited to see where this writing prompt series goes. Coming up with these was fun, so I imagine that this will easily become a weekly tradition. Also, don’t be shy: feel free to share what you come up with in the comment section below. It could be featured as part of a future writing prompt post.
